When Jeep designed the Grand Cherokee, they never envisioned consumers’ pushing these Jeep’s so heavily into the offroad adventure, because of this; the factory gas tank protection (or lack thereof) leaves much to be desired! Possibly one of the first upgrades any owner should do is adding an aftermarket Gas Tank Skid to protect this very important and very venerable component. JcrOffroad is proud to offer our Jeep ZJ Gas Tank skid plate. These skids are custom built in house by JcrOffroad therefore quality is unsurpassed by other manufacturers. They are constructed from 3/16” thick high strength steel and built by Cnc production machines, therefore the over all fit, and attention to detail is second to none. Installation is bolt on using factory provisions. Mounts securely with 11 bolts and our skid is the only one on the market that tie’s into the rear crossmember for added strength! |
