During the last few years, we have all seen so many companies close their doors. This is not the case with this little Internet based company that is busting at the seams. In order to better serve our customers, JcrOffroad will once again be moving to a new and much larger location. The location that we have been in for the past 3 years has finally reached its max capacity of equipment and work! On June 1st, we will be moving to a new location that offers nearly 2 1/2 times more shop space and direct frontage on one of Kalamazoo Michigan's busiest roads; Stadium Drive.
Over the last 5 years, I have seen this company grow from an operation in my Mother's garage to a full fledged offroad service shop with a great mail order manufacturing setup. Our number one goal is to give the highest quality product we can build. Because of this, we have been able to earn loyal customers that have spread our name throughout the offroad community. We are very thankful to be where we are today and we thank all of our customers and friends for helping to make that possible.
So let's get down to it with a FAQ.
What does this move mean to you, the customer?
Our current location has been utilized and every square foot, maximized. However, in the end it comes down to the fact that we just need more space! We are in the process of adding some very large equipment and we need the additional space to allow us to continue to grow, and produce our product at a more efficient rate.
How to you plan to address difficulty in reaching you over the phone?
Our phones ring off the hook at all hours of day and night. Even on weekends, our phone continues to ring. Our biggest obstacle has been keeping up with all of our phone calls. During our normal business hours (Mon.-Fri. 9am-6pm EST) we answer the phone anytime we can hear it. The largest problem associated with the calls is, even with a secretary, in the end you want to talk to someone that can answer your questions thoroughly. This in the end means Daryl or myself, the guys building the product.
Why don't you just hire more shop hands?
Our quality and pricing is what sets us apart from the rest, so in order to continue to offer both at the level you expect, we can't just have anyone building your order. You would not be happy with an under skilled fabricator and neither would we! The work that Daryl and I do is very specialized and includes many years of on the job training. We want you to enjoy the product you purchase and we also want you to be happy with the price. With these two factors, we have to hire wisely and protect what made us what we are.
Do you plan to expand your product line?
Absolutely! We currently have many new products planned and are in the process of acquiring the equipment needed to build it. The new building will offer us a very valuable amount of space for large industrial fabrication equipment that we have only dreamed of! I know you would love a list of possible new products, however, at this time we can't afford the time to discuss possible release dates of said new products. But rest assured, we have been watching online forums and we know what you want!
What about the XJ tube doors you planned to release this spring?
Unfortunately, spring has sprung and our tube doors are no where to be found! We have been unable to keep up with our current work load and have not had time to put together this new product. This is #1 on the list of things to build once we have arrived in our new shop in June. So I guess expect a summer release for this new product.
So with all that said, I would like to ask for your continued patience as we work to better serve you! If you have questions or concerns, feel free to contact me directly. Brian@jcroffroad.com
Thank you for your time!
