Black anodized stainless steel hardware for all JCR roof racks; replaces the 1/4" button heads and washers only, the larger 5/16" mount hardware on the XJ, JL, and JT racks are not included as they are different grade of steel. We recommend painting these bolts to match.

Q Shaun Sweeney • 10/30/2020, 4:30:06 PM Does this bag also include the (6) 5/16"-18 button heads for the gutter brackets as well? Looking to swap out the hardware on the XJ Adventure rack. (which should come standard with black hardware!)

A 11/03/2020, 3:48:44 PM The kit does not include the gutter mount hardware. Those bolts are actually zinc-coated grade 5 and not stainless, we would recommend painting them black instead.

A 12/01/2022, 11:36:08 AM It would only do the 1/4" bolts that secure the crossbars to the side rails. This kit doesn't include any other size hardware.

I don't judge people by the color of their skin but I now judge owners of JCR and Victory racks by the color of their hardware. Are they mere commoners who felt it was ok to install - gasp! - the stock hardware or do they enjoy the finer things in life, such as bolts and washers that actually match the color of the rack? On a more serious note, as another reviewer mentioned, this should be included with the rack in the first place. Jeep owners: note that the eight heavy-duty bolts that attach the rack to mounting brackets and the brackets to your roof are not part of this set - it only replaces the smaller hardware that assembles the actual rack.
