Q Wilfred Thomson • 03/17/2020, 12:54:57 PM Will this work with a 1/2 or 3/4 transfer case drop? Thanks
A 03/17/2020, 7:34:33 PM Yes, there are slots in the skids to allow it to work with a T-case drop. You will want to take in account this adjustability when marking and drilling for the nutserts in case you ever remove your t-case drop.
Q Steve R • 06/28/2020, 3:11:02 PM Does this skid plate fit the NP242 transfer-case ? Also what belly pan ,engine/transmission skid plate do you recommend with this piece ? Thank You Steve R
A 07/07/2020, 2:27:46 PM No, the NP231 only.
Q Jones • 12/02/2020, 11:08:18 AM Will this fit with rough country long arm, and y’all’s unibody stiffeners
A 12/04/2020, 12:00:43 PM It will not.
Q Spencer Morrow • 01/07/2021, 1:34:23 AM Will these work with JCR off-road xj frame stiffeners?
A 01/07/2021, 1:01:36 PM It's a pretty tight fit.
Q CHRIS SUMRULD • 04/07/2021, 8:16:11 PM You were asked if the tcase skid plate (np231) would fit with the JCR frame stiffeners. The reply was "its a tight fit". I need more info than that, please.
A 04/12/2021, 2:38:55 PM It really depends on how tight against the frame the the JCR stiffeners were welded. Our skid has some wiggle room in width, but it wasn't designed to go over stiffeners. Sometimes it works just based on vehicle variance, stiffener install, or t-case crossmember drop amount. If we have to say it works in all situations with no modification with frame stiffeners we'd have to say no. Sorry for any confusion.
Q Benjamin L Kramka • 04/09/2021, 3:52:56 PM Will this fit a Jeep Comanche as well?
A 04/12/2021, 3:17:40 PM It will not.

Nice piece of protection for my 1996 XJ old body style. It is very heavy duty piece of metal that goes right over the original cross-member and protects the cat and transfer case. This piece is pretty important since it is right in the middle of the Jeep where it could high-center. Since my XJ is lifted only about 2", I thought it was pretty important. It also seems to have stiffened the frame up a bit since it it is essentially an over-sized crossmember. I am not really that mechanically inclined, but was able to install this myself in just a couple of hours. It would probably take somebody less time who had the right tools. Shipping and install instructions were also great. I hope to get a few other pieces from JCR in the near future. I would submit some photos, but they're not any different from the photos above

Got this for my wifes jeep since we ocasionally wheel it when my jeep is broken. Well hers is very low in bb and got hung up quite a bit until installing one of these skids. The first few rivets went in perfect with the provided "tool". However i realized i had the skid backwards! Jcr did provide a few extra, still need 2 more, but says alot that after 2 years of abuse it has held up great with 2 missing bolts.

This skid is badass! Nutserts are the hardest part of this installation. If you get them installed correctly this project is butter. With that said I've had this skid for about 7 years. Balanced the whole weight of the JEEP on it once or twice. And only have 1 bolt loosely installed on each side on the outside of the uniframe. Misused and it showed me who's boss! Takes only 15 minutes to remove or install once the holes are drilled. csx692
