High Dive | EJS 2020

This is High Dive, one of the iconic obstacles on the Behind the Rocks Trail in Moab, Utah. That last ledge is a real doozy.

We hope you’ve enjoyed our Virtual EJS Series!

Escalator to Hell | Virtual EJS 2020

Oh, Escalator. For an obstacle that looks so simple from the bottom, it can really get you in a mess of trouble if you slip off the line at any point. Brian’s careful driving and Russ’s spotting turned what could have been a real mess into success on this. Corey’s face is just a bonus, but kudos for that GoPro work while riding shotgun 😂

Watch how quickly either front tire comes up with barely any throttle on a slow crawl. If you want to search for more, search “Willys Escalator Moab” on your favorite video platform. They just go right up the middle without issue. Jeeps are awesome 🤘

Mickey’s Hot Tub | EJS 2020

Hell’s Revenge is maybe the most famous trail in Moab, and for good reason, it’s got some iconic obstacles and some great optional lines. Mikey’s Hot Tub is one such optional line.

See to the driver side of the Jeep where there aren’t many tire marks? If you want to see what happens when you try that line, search your favorite video platform for Mickey’s Hot Tub Rollover 😂

Here are a few different vehicles and wheelbases to show off this fun, although intimidating hot tub.

Hell’s Gate | Virtual EJS 2020

Hell’s Revenge is maybe the most famous trail in Moab, and for good reason, it’s got some iconic obstacles. Take for instance Hell’s Gate; the drop-in is extremely intimidating, then there is a short sandy trail down in a valley of slickrock before you square up and confront the beast of a climb out.

There are a couple ways to attack the stairsteps on top of the climb, but mostly it’s either steer into the wall or just go right up the center. The wrong move means tumbling back down to the bottom end over end.

This video features Project Crusader in 2016 and again in 2017, and shows just what 10″ more wheelbase means on a climb like this.

Gravy Bowl | Virtual EJS 2020

Mashed Potatoes is a really fun area of the Pickle Trail, this feature called the Gravy Bowl is one of our favorites 🤘

We also added some footage from a little bonus line on the trail, but we aren’t sure if it has a name.

Dill Pickle | Virtual EJS 2020

The Pickle is one of the most fun and unique trails in Moab, in our opinion. If you’ve never done it, give it a try next time 👍

Weirdly, EJS 2020 is virtual, but the good news is we’ve got lots of footage from the trails over the years to share with you.

Axle Hill | Virtual EJS 2020

Red Rock 4-Wheelers write about Axle Hill: “This hill starts in the wash bottom and climbs out in two stages. The first part is very slippery and is the site of many rollovers. The second part is very steep, as well as ledgy and off-camber.”

This video highlights some different wheelbase, tires sizes, and driving styles (LOL!) on this obstacle.

What trail are we hitting tomorrow? Let us know your pick in the comments!

Rocker Knocker | Virtual EJS 2020

It’s weird that EJS 2020 is virtual, but the good news is we’ve got lots of footage from the trails over the years to share with you.

Rocker Knocker is an iconic Moab obstacle, and depending on your wheelbase, it can be either a relative cakewalk or a PITA. This one got a little hairy. We were doing our best not to put the Jeep on its side, as MJ cabs and beds aren’t exactly a dime a dozen. The power steering checking out didn’t make things much easier 😂
