Q Mark • 06/30/2020, 11:23:26 AM How does this work when 86-91 only have lap belts in the rear
A 07/07/2020, 2:23:55 PM Many of the early XJs have upper bolt holes even without 3 point belts in the back. Check yours before you order.
Q Chase • 08/06/2020, 2:25:09 PM Does this work for both windows or only passanger side?
A 08/12/2020, 3:39:22 PM Either side.
Q M. GRIFFITH • 08/24/2020, 4:02:47 PM Can these be made to fit the two door XJs? Will they work and simply be shorter than the full length two door windows? Do you have plans to make them for two door XJs?
A 09/09/2020, 2:07:14 PM Correct, they will work but be shorter than your 2 door quarter panels. We do not have plans to make a 2 door specific version.
Q John blomenkamp • 08/29/2020, 4:40:54 AM do you make these for the full length of the rear side windows for 2 door cherokees?
A 09/09/2020, 1:49:58 PM We do not.
Q Josh • 10/23/2020, 0:45:39 AM Do you know how much weight this can hold and be safe
A 10/26/2020, 4:24:49 PM We don't have official weight ratings on these panels.
Q Corey Ragland • 12/17/2020, 0:02:58 AM will this fit on a 2005 jeep grand cherokee
A 12/23/2020, 5:13:09 PM We have not tested that.
Q truchas • 02/03/2021, 2:49:16 PM Is there any problem mounting these on a 2-door?
A 02/08/2021, 10:28:40 AM It will work, but it obviously won't cover the whole window.
Q Josh • 03/15/2021, 2:01:39 AM Hi there! Big fan here. You guys are awesome! Just wondering if this can carry 15lbs. Thanks advance!
A 03/16/2021, 3:39:11 PM It would have to be very well distributed and secured, and even then it's pushing it.
Q Tristen • 08/30/2021, 8:06:05 AM Does this come with one or two panels?
A 09/02/2021, 10:07:16 AM Price is per side.
Q Caleb E • 04/26/2022, 4:08:56 PM What are the dimensions of the rectangular cutouts?
A 04/26/2022, 5:45:47 PM Roughly 1.5 x 1.125
Q Nathan • 06/06/2022, 6:38:29 PM Wondering what dimensions are overall? Curious if this could work in a 1977 Cherokee
A 06/09/2022, 2:54:02 PM The panel would not work well with your SJ.

Not sure how much you can hang from these things but they are stout and quiet. No rattles. Great job, JCR.

I got one of these for my 98 XJ to see how I would like it, and I love it so I’ll be buying a second one for the other side. Makes good use of otherwise useless space. Installation was a breeze. It’s also very sturdy. I have a fire extinguisher bolted to it with a quick release mount and I never hear any rattling.

Like the title says, these exceeded my expectations. JCR always makes good parts so I expected it would be good but I didnt expect it to be as solid and handle as much weight as it does. With half of America burning right now I decided to mount multiple fire extenguishers and medical/trauma stuff all on one board. It handles two 2.5lb extenguishers without an issue at all, not pushing the limits. Bought a pair and these are my favorite part of my entire build. Fantastic. One slight hitch is that some year XJs dont have the 3rd screw hole already (my '96) so you may have to pre drill your own. Not hard, just mount it using the other 2 then mark your 3rd hole on the pillar and drill plastic from pillar out large enough for screw to slide in/out freely, then drill smaller hole in sheet metal of pillar that is the proper size for the screw. If you want a real clean build, use a spacer behind the pillar so the trim doesnt squeeze in at all. Write up and photos on IG @ xjstormtrooper

I love this unit, which provides lots of mounting options for gear organization and management. One improvement that I would recommend is to add a bracket that would mount to the upper rear corner and use the factory trim screw as the mounting point. I found that with my fire extinguisher mounted on the upper rear of this molle panel, the molle panel vibrates and causes the mounted equip to rattle. A tie-in bracket on the upper rear corner would eliminate this vibration issue.

This panel is well thought out, built and looks gooooood!!! Its a 5 star product by itself but im a stickler in the small details. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is in the fasteners. The panel is powder coated black and badass looking but with the standard grade 5 nuts and bolts it loses some of that badassness and looks kind of cheap. I took it all apart and painted them using truck bed liner. Now they dont stand out and look cheap...they blend in with the badassness!!! This panel is expensive! I think for a few extra dollars and a little less gross profit, JCR could include black alloy or powder coated fasteners. I purchased this panel along with rear bumper, tire carrier, rotopax mounts and lights. I love their product and cinstruction...just think they missed the bullseye by just a but. Stay tuned for review on bumper and tire carrier...gets installed this week

Although I like the design and it was fairly easy install, JCR should be selling these as a set for 150 bucks. These panels are their true money makers. A few other companies have same exact panels for less than half the cost. Hindsight I should have got a set of these from a different company for 100, instead of 1 for 150 bucks. Quality product, but definitely overpriced.
