A 08/18/2020, 11:02:06 AM We have not tested this, but the floor is slightly different, so modifications to the bracket would be likely necessary.
Q Ryan Price • 06/02/2021, 10:00:45 AM Do you happen to know if this would fit a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo? Thanks!

The correct solution for the problem

I bought this many months ago for my 2000 XJ and it's great. Center console is solid, I can lean on it, the install wasn't hard, etc. The only problem was one of the mounting holes didn't line up and I needed to drill a new one in the longest leg (easy enough to do). I've recommended it to multiple people now. (To see pictures of where to drill / full install: https://citizenupgrade.com/posts/jeepconsole/ ... reviewer can remove this if links aren't allowed in reviews, but pass it on to the design team)

Pretty easy to install. Center console doesn't even budge now. A little pricey but it works so.....

I was bothered by the loose console on my 2000 XJ - this thing is annoying to install (budget an hour) but it works very well and fits great. Happy I bought it.

Not a great fit, had to bend 2 of the legs just to get them to line up with the mounting holes. It was pretty far off from a perfect fit. The whole thing sits at an angle, and pulls the rear heat duct out of the front heat outlet. No, it doesn't WOBBLE, but it definitely isn't worth $50 for this poor of a fit.

This bracket worked like a charm and met expectations. I had no issues with installation on my 1998 Sport. Installation was a snug fit into a tight area, but with some patience, it installed perfectly fine. Now I have a super stable center console.

Great replacement for my disintegrated bracket. Many videos on YouTube with tips to pull out the center console. Bracket fit perfectly and after 4 months I have no complaints.

A true must have for the Cherokee, as soon as I received the bracket I installed it. The stock bracket was completely broken and fell apart in my hands. This bracket is rock solid and fit with no issues and the wobble is completely gone. Bravo JCR BRAVO

This is a so so product when it comes to fitting properly . I purchased one and found that the bracket is between 1/2" to 3/4" to far to the rear of the vehicle to work as purchased. The duct tube that mounts in the console is held to far back to properly hook up with the dash connection, after about an hour of rebending the passenger side rear leg and having to add a spacer under it to screw it in , then bending the passenger side of the tab that the inside of the console bolts to it can be made to work . In my opinion this part is overpriced for the amount of work that needs to be done to make everything fit correctly .
