PITA install.
(Texas) | July 7th, 2022
I was excited to receive this. Packaging was excellent and I received it without any blemishes. Installation however made me go bald! Assembly on the basket itself is easy enough. Make sure you tighten the lock mechanism well and make sure that it’s aligned with the small “c” shaped backing bracket. Installing/aligning the locking brackets on the seat frame is awfully frustrating, the nuts and bolts have to be extremely tight to prevent them from moving out of place when someone sits on the seat. I broke one of the smaller bolts in the process. I’d recommend buying some better grade hardware. Once everything is finally aligned and tightened down it’s a pretty nice kit, just be prepared for a fight. Overall, i would buy this again because the added security.

Product has good quality, but the JL version does not work with a factory soft top unless you modify the mounting brackets

JLU rear window molle panel
(CO) | April 27th, 2022
Overall this is very quality product as I really like JCR products. However, the panel does not sit vertically if you run the normal Wrangler hardtop. You can only attach things from the inside but not between the molle panel and the window as it's to narrow because of the short bracket. The bracket design is poor as it should have come with 2 long brackets for the factory hardtop so you can access either side of the panel. It may work better with the soft top or after market tops where you can easily access from the outside of the Jeep. I did contact JCR and they stated that the pieces come out of one cutting. That's not a great customer service answer.
Expensive

With all things considered (price of materials, labor, quality, ect.) the bumper is a bit on the pricey end. I have purchased the older model and this newer model. My biggest complaint is the tube work is bolted on. The older model tube work came welded. Not impressed by the welds either. Looks like they hired kids right out of school. Not awful but not at the level of being $700.
Panel Armor Good, Fastening Hardwar NOT!
(WA) | October 12th, 2021
Purchased these quite awhile ago and just got around to installing them. Panels are awesome and pretty straight forward to mount. Problem is the mounting bolts started to rust within 2 weeks time...NOT GOOD! Figured they were black alloy, but not the case. This is kind of a big deal! Rusty bolts look like a$$. Not sure what to do now. Going to contact them to find out what their solution is. This is the 2nd product from them that I am not happy with. First being the rear bumper/spare tire latch down mechanism.
Good but could be better

I installed this basket last weekend and ran into issues. The washers supplied are very small and several pulled through the molle panel when attaching the support bracket for the cargo basket. I had to source my own washers to prevent this from happening. As it is the problem was discovered too late and I have one attaching bolt that is pinched so tightly into the hole that the button head bolt stripped when trying to remove it so I could use the larger washer. Also the basket, or perhaps the mounting holes, were sightly more narrow than the holes in the brackets, requiring me to have to "bow" out the mole panel sightly to get the holes up line up between the support bracket and the basket. The instructions were clear in the video made for the product but show the basket just sitting nicely on the brackets, which wasn't my experience at all. I thought I might not even have the right basket but I made it work. Now that it's all in it's nice and useful but I do worry about everything holding up once I load gear into it.

Pretty Okay Option
(FL) | September 24th, 2021
Finished product looks cool, but to me it wasn’t worth the price. The camera mount doesn’t line up well so there’s an awkward gap between the housing. Without the rotopax mounts and cans included, it cost me $430 to carry gas cans on the tailgate. They raised the price $20 after I ordered mine, so it’ll be $450. To me, with the shoddy camera mount and without instructions included and was missing hardware (but the support team was fantastic!) it’s not really worth the price. I would go with another option, there’s cooler deletes in the same price range. Also, this sits right on the paint, I’d think they’d include some type of weather strip to go around the holes you take the vents out of. and you take the rear vents out leaving a large set of holes for bugs/water to get in the trunk area.
Note From JcrOffroad: Please reach out to our customer service team so we can help with fitment on your camera. We apologize for any issues on the install.
Almost Great
(CA) | July 8th, 2021
The video walk-through was very helpful and the packaging was excellent. A pretty straightforward install. As on other review mentions, the driver's side has a tab that must be bent back that isn't in the video but that isn't too much of an issue. More a nuisance that should have been in the video, at least mentioned. My main issue (why 3 stars) is on the passenger side. I have a 3/4 inch spacer combined with stock Rubicon suspension and shocks so nothing out of the ordinary for my setup. While flexed, the passenger shock contacted the liner and there is now a bend in the lower portion of the fender liner. I am glad they are aluminum and bent but still a design issue that should not have happened. Otherwise a good product.
They'alright.

Nice and thick but required cutting off almost half the armor to fit my Bushwhacker flairs. Slightly disappointed i had to countersink my own holes when they have a supposed "new design". These were honestly more work than the bumper and carrier and all the stuff that goes with that. Does the job but be prepared to do a lot of work to make them fit if not using stock flairs.
Great rack, missing parts and home depot trips
(TX) | June 13th, 2021
The rack system it self is 5 stars. Great fitment and easy to install. The only draw back is that the cross members aren't as modular as similar racks. They only allow for an inch or so movement. Not a show stopper, you will just have to get creative with mounting some accessories if the spacing won't work. The reason for 3 stars is that the initial shipment didn't include all the needed parts. Which between a few friends that have bought from jcr isn't uncommon. They were very responsive and had it shipped a few days after I called. Once I received the missing parts the hardware provided was the wrong thread pitch and wouldn't work. Home depot and 25 dollars later I had the correct bolts. I am sure they would have sent me the correct parts but I didn't have the time to wait another week. I will buy from them again but I am going to go through the shipment with a fine tooth comb to make sure I have everything and the correct hardware.
Note From JcrOffroad: We certainly apologize for the shipping error on the hardware kit. If there is anyway we can help further please reach out.
