Crusader Sliders
(North Carolina) | November 18th, 2020
These sliders are a really good build quality! I had a long wait time due to one of them getting damaged during shipping, but the company made right by sending a replacement very well padded. The fit is great and, like other JCR products, the build quality is top-notch. My only complaint was with the installation. The hardware that showed up both times was labeled “JL Wrangler” and definitely did not have enough hardware. I was only able to supplement it with an additional box of hardware that was sent with the second set, which also had a different number of mounting brackets the the first. Now that they’re mounted, I can only hope I did it right, because there are no gladiator instructions anywhere to be found. The video on the product page is installation instructions for a JL. The link to instructions on the product page is for the JK. The gladiator has additional mounting brackets and there’s no way to know what goes where. Luckily, my mechanic was able to figure most of it out. Finally, the lights that were provided are different than the ones in any of the instructions. While I appreciate the upgrade to smaller LED lights, they are a convex design that doesn’t smoothly mount on the inside of the slider. The jury’s still out on whether I’ll use those or not. Five months after ordering and receiving them, I would like to say it was worth the trouble but I’m honestly indifferent. Product quality is good but follow up and customer service almost made them not worth it.
Almost Perfect

Great quality construction, looks great in the truck, and easy installation (with one small exception). The bolts they sent me to attach the brackets to the sidewall of my truck were the incorrect size. I don't have the trail rail system so I'm not sure if that was the issue but according to the install video that shouldn't be an issue. Regardless, in my enthusiam to install, I got one of the mis-sized bolts partially into the side bed...only to have to pull it out latter and use a tap set to correct my error. A few bucks later at Home Depot I fixed the problem with some new bolts...but wish it hadn't happened. Correct bolt size and it would have been 5 stars.
Overall - Great Product, but....

Upon receiving my Gladiator full rack, assembly was fast and easy. I've already put it to fast use and like the overall quality and structural integrity. My only gripe would be that I requested to purchase an additional (2) side rail supports for additional accessories to be added, unfortunately, the staff advised that additional side rails are not available for sell, for unspecified reasons. I'm not trying to be overly harsh with a 4 star review, but I was seriously miffed. Regardless, it's a great product and I'm still considering to purchase more products.
Engine skid plate
(connecticut) | September 7th, 2020
this was a pretty easy install. Looks great and took a good hit last weekend so it works just fine. I have two smaller comments though. First is it took 3 months to get it to me but I'll lay it off on covid since the transfer and exhaust loop skids came in a week. The second is the whole plate hangs down a good 6 inches below the oil pan. I think with a single bend and shorter front mounts you could improve the ground clearance by four or five inches. It is still above the differential so not a big thing. I may just re tool it myself. Still for the price and heavy build I'm happy with this product. Thanks JCR.
Nice rack, good deal would give 4.5 stars if that was an option

Just received my rack yesterday and got it install and mounted. I ordered the full rack as I plan to add a Gobi Stealth rack in a few months and wanted both racks somewhat equal in height and high enough to comfortably walk under an awning. I replaced my Ace Engineering Upper Decker with tent mounts with the JCR Bed Rack and the build quality is definitely on par or better than the Upper Decker. Only took about an hour to put together and mount. My only complaint is the rack I got, is not the rack in your installation video...looks like you tweaked the design a little and it is unfortunate. I am running a high clearance rear bumper and dual swingout with my 3rd brake light blocked by my spare. I had already planned on mounting a 3rd brake like to the rear crossbar and liked that in the install video, those crossbars included holes for zip ties. The rack I got however was only C Channel on the front and rear crossbars and were missing the additional bends of steel and pre-drilled holes that are shown in the video. Running my wires for the light will not be as stealth now as I think your original design allowed. I don't have anything mounted yet, but don't anticipate any issues with my tent or accessories. I recommend this rack based solely on the build quality and ease of install and price compared to other bed racks. But don't have any experience on function yet.
Solid sliders. May require modification though
| August 16th, 2020
First of all, these are built very solid. The finish is nice and welds are good. I did however have issues with fitment with my Ruffstuff frame stiffeners though. I clicked the box for frame stiffeners and I believe I recieved the correct product because in outward dimensions, it was spaced correctly. What was not listed is that if you have that lip on the top of your stiffeners that goes along your floorboards, you will not be able to allign the mounting plates flush without modification to the sliders. I had to cut the top of the mounting plates down halfway across the top holes, then drill new holes to replace those. Not the worst thing but kind of annoying. I dont expect them to know everything but it would be nice if it was acknowledged that with some stiffeners, you will have fitment issues. Otherwise, great product.
Slightly disappointed.

I’d prefer to see bends where they had two cut pieces welded together then ground down. I understand not all the angles can be bent but at least try. Also I’d like to see an option for no pods and no trailer attachment. The 4” cut off was pointless unless you can truly pull this thing right to the body. A good 1.5” is just empty space behind the bumper because the trailer hitch is too close to the rear storage on my jk. If i want a crawler type bumper then I want every inch I can get. Welds look strong but nothing amazing. I’m sure it’ll hold up and do everything I want hence the 4 stars but I would’ve preferred a higher clearance bumper if I’m going to bother cutting 4” off my frame.
Must have if you have a winch bumper

Great kit, easy to install and definitely strengthens up the front end. Only reason I have it 4 stars is because I had to drill my own holes for the fender support bracket, they tell you to remove or cut the bracket therefore there is no hole for it, but with a little pry bar action it all lines up and looks factory
Nice bumper

I had been wanting this bumper for awhile now. I think the design of it fits the XJ very well. On the bumper I received the welds on the bumper itself looked very well done, but the welds around the tube work didn't look that great. I do think they are structurally sound though. The texture in the monstaliner I used to paint it helped hide them. If I wanted a smooth finish I probably would of had to pay someone to clean them up. I didn't have any issues with the bolt holes lining up. Overall I'm happy with it. I just expected the the finish to be a little better.
Missed one detail
(Monroe,Wa) | April 18th, 2020
This panel is well thought out, built and looks gooooood!!! Its a 5 star product by itself but im a stickler in the small details. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is in the fasteners. The panel is powder coated black and badass looking but with the standard grade 5 nuts and bolts it loses some of that badassness and looks kind of cheap. I took it all apart and painted them using truck bed liner. Now they dont stand out and look cheap...they blend in with the badassness!!! This panel is expensive! I think for a few extra dollars and a little less gross profit, JCR could include black alloy or powder coated fasteners. I purchased this panel along with rear bumper, tire carrier, rotopax mounts and lights. I love their product and cinstruction...just think they missed the bullseye by just a but. Stay tuned for review on bumper and tire carrier...gets installed this week
