These worked out great for the rack I built for my dad's 1968 Baja bug. Don't know how some one else welded them on backwards, it was simple to see how they needed to be welded on. I had to modify 2 out of the 6 I bought to fight the smaller gutter by the rear windows but it pinched and held strong. I would buy these for any rack project. Only downside is one of them had the welded nut not centered to the hole so I had to run a tap and put threads into the side of the bracket before it went into the nut, no big deal. You guys should allow pictures to be added to comments.

Mounts came exactly as described. Great quality As always from Jcr. And the textured power coat finish is good. My only concern is the width of the bottom of the bracket that fits into the gutter rail. I would have liked for it to be a little wider to help spread the load of the rack over a larger area on the thin sheet metal the gutter rail is made out of. However I knew that before I purchased these and I don’t plan on putting hundreds of pounds up on the roof. If you plan on putting lots of weight on your jeeps roof then I would recommend buying two sets of these mounts to better disperse the load on the gutter rails.

"As I always have to do things differently I was designing my own roof rack and I was looking for just the right gutter mount and these hit the mark. My son was so impressed with the design and look he ditched his roof rack and I purchased a second set for his."

Due to the lack of a tutorial and/or pictures showing how to weld the mounts to the rack, I ended up welding them backwards, and it will require to redo the entire work. What a waste of time and money!
