Jeep Steering Upgrade 1-Ton | Over the Knuckle
Specs
✓ Vehicle: All makes and models of Jeeps
✓ Material: 1.25" diameter DOM tube, 1/4" wall
Bashing rocks all weekend and driving to work on Monday takes gear built for both. This 1-ton steering upgrade gives you the strength for the trail without giving up daily drivability, it just takes some work to get there.
The rods are a beefy 1.25" diameter DOM with a 1/4" wall, and threads are direct-tapped into the tube. Unlike a threaded insert, this means the TRE has full thread engagement into the tube for the entire length of its threads. On this system, the passenger side TRE dust boot is replaced with a polyurethane spacer, which pulls the TRE body against the knuckle and eliminates the tie rod roll that an inverted T setup can sometimes have.
Features:
1.25" diameter DOM tube with a 1/4" wall for serious strength
Direct-tapped threads give the TRE full thread engagement along its entire length
Polyurethane spacer eliminates tie rod roll on the passenger side
