First, I like the product overall. I strongly recommend it. (I bought the half-rack). However, the installation was unnecessarily difficult due to a few things. The package came intact with no missing parts. In fact, there's enough extra parts and nuts that you can start a sperm bank. You're going to want a lot of head room in the garage or go outside. You need a ladder and also to climb into the truck bed to mount this thing like you're heading to senior prom. DON'T tighten anything until the very end of installation. Also, some of the screws were not quite long enough for the roof mounts that sit in the drip rail. Unless you're Houdini with additional ninja skills, you're going to have to remove the front and back rails to adjust the bolts affecting the height. If you have big fat fingers like me, the overall installation design is a little frustrating. All in all, I like the finished product. It seems very sturdy. The dog loves the wind in his face while riding up there, so it's a win win.

Overall the half rack looks great. Very nice cnc cut aluminum parts with stainless steel screws and nuts. Looks very handsome on the truck. One major question mark is why the brackets are steal. And why the screws that hold the brackets are zinc coated steel although the rest is stainless? I think it is very hard to prevent these steel parts from rusting in the future. And the video/written instructions need some tlc. All the nuts and bolts come in a bag and it is hard to understand which one goes where. Now I have extra ones and I don’t even know if I had to use them or not. Overall it is a good product and with couple of fixes it will be a great one.

Roof rack is without a doubt 5 stars. Very solid, all cuts perfect. I opened for the JT half rack so I can still use the freedom panels yet carry a canoe easily. The gotchas... Some of the threads had what I assume is paint residue so I had to thread them in from the opposite side prior to the correct side so I could actually tighten them. The instructions leave a bit to be desired. That said, just laying the parts out allows you to figure it out. So maybe the instructions just weren’t needed anyway :) Little disappointed that there wasn’t weather stripping provided for the entire back of the rack. That said, I have yet to load it down enough to see it flex, so it may be a moot point. Would without a doubt buy again.

The Half Rack is perfect! I get added storage and can still remove freedom panels. As with everything I have bought from JCR it is a perfect fit looks great and is very functional. The install videos are a huge plus for a novice like me I also am impressed with JCR providing an abundance of extra bolts etc for different attachments.
